La Casita Cultural Center came to assante design to collaborate on a project that would announce the soft opening exhibition of their newly acquired space. The exhibition, “Motifs, Evocations.” featured the work of six artists who are natives of Chile, Cuba, Colombia, Mexico and Puerto Rico and who now live in metro Syracuse. We chose to use bold complimentary colors to establish a strong visual language that wouldn’t overpower the artwork. The challenge presented was to design all pieces in both English and Spanish, which created a fantastic typographic dynamic in the program. Not only was it great to help spread the word about a great Cultural Center but it also gave us a chance to brush up on our Español.
